What could explain it?
These medicines slow how quickly the stomach empties. Because food sits longer, sulfur burps can show up, most of all after a big or fatty meal.

What helps, step by step
- Reduce how many sugary and highly processed foods you eat.
- Right after your dose, go easy on foods high in fiber.
- Eat smaller meals, and stop once you feel full. These medicines slow down how fast your stomach empties.
- Eat slowly. Time passes before your brain notices that you are full.
- Cut back on fatty, greasy and sugary foods, because these often cause symptoms.
- If the problem does not ease, tell your prescriber. Your prescriber may increase the dose more slowly or suggest a different GLP-1.
Before taking anything bought at the drugstore, use the GLP-1 interactions checker to check for interactions.
