Why it happens on GLP-1
These medicines slow stomach emptying. Food remains inside longer, which can cause sulfur burps, especially after large or fatty meals.

What helps, step by step
- You should limit sugary and highly processed foods.
- Right after your dose, go easy on high-fiber foods.
- Eat smaller meals and stop when you feel full. While you take these medicines, your stomach empties more slowly.
- Eat slowly. Your brain needs time to register that you feel full.
- Fatty, greasy and sugary foods often cause symptoms, so limit them.
- If it does not ease up, tell your prescriber. They may suggest a different GLP-1 or slower dose increases.
Before you take anything from the drugstore, use the interactions checker to look for GLP-1 interactions.
