What helps, step by step
- Have sips of ginger or peppermint tea with no sweetener.
- After eating, remain upright instead of lying down.
- Ask your prescriber about nausea medicine to have ready.
- Eat smaller meals and stop when you feel full. These medicines slow down how fast your stomach empties.
- Eat slowly. Your brain needs time to recognize when you are full.
- Eat less fatty, greasy, and sugary food, as these foods often cause symptoms.
- Tell your prescriber if the nausea does not ease. They may slow the dose increases or suggest another GLP-1.
Before taking anything from the drugstore, check it with the GLP-1 interactions checker.
