What helps, step by step
- Take small sips of ginger or peppermint tea, with no sweetener.
- After a meal, remain upright instead of lying down.
- Speak with your prescriber about keeping nausea medicine on hand.
- Eat smaller meals and stop when you feel full. These medicines make the stomach empty more slowly.
- Eat slowly. It takes your brain time to sense that you are full.
- Cut back on fatty, greasy, and sugary foods, since these often cause symptoms.
- Tell your prescriber if the symptoms do not ease. They may slow the rate of dose increases or suggest a different GLP-1.
Before taking any drugstore product, check it with the GLP-1 interactions checker.
