Wegovy and coffee: the verdict

Generally fine together

The Wegovy label lists no caffeine interaction. The FDA points to 400 milligrams of caffeine daily, roughly two to three cups of coffee, as a level not usually linked to harm for healthy adults. Take the Wegovy pill with plain water only; coffee cannot be used.

What the Wegovy label says

No line on coffee. Of the warnings about what you drink, kidney injury caused by fluid loss is the greatest concern. Fluid loss from vomiting or diarrhea can lead to kidney injury. Drink fluids and report heavy fluid loss.
