Ozempic and Wellbutrin: the verdict
Ask your prescriber first

What the Ozempic label says
The Ozempic label does not name Wellbutrin (bupropion). Those points still apply to it.
| Named in the label | The risk | What the label tells doctors |
|---|---|---|
| Oral medicines | Pills absorbed differently | This slows the emptying of your stomach, which can affect the way other pills are absorbed. |

The practical rule
- Tell both prescribers that you take the other drug, and never change either dose on your own.
- When you list every pill you take to your GLP-1 prescriber, include this one.
- Ask your pharmacist if any pill you take needs a steady blood level. You may need a check when you start treatment or raise the dose.

Wellbutrin with other GLP-1s
No GLP-1 label, out of all 10 of them, names Wellbutrin (bupropion) in its drug interaction section. Every one of them has the same general caution, and it concerns pills you swallow. The answer holds for the whole class.
