Information in the liraglutide label
The Victoza label does not name Jardiance (empagliflozin). The lines that still apply to it are these.
| Named in the label | The risk | What the label tells doctors |
|---|---|---|
| Insulin or sulfonylureas | Low blood sugar | Using it with insulin or a sulfonylurea, such as glipizide or glimepiride, raises the chance of low blood sugar, so your doctor may reduce those doses. |
| Oral medicines | Pills absorbed differently | It slows the emptying of your stomach, and this can change how your body absorbs other pills. |
This information comes from the Victoza label (DailyMed).

The practical rule
- Contact your doctor on the same day if you cannot keep food or fluids down.
- Tell whoever prescribes your GLP-1 about every pill you take, including this one.
- Check with your pharmacist to find out if any of your pills need to remain at a steady level in the blood. They may need checks when you start treatment or raise the dose.
- Check your blood sugar more often during the first weeks and after each dose increase.

Jardiance with other GLP-1s
Jardiance (empagliflozin) appears in no drug interaction section among the 10 GLP-1 labels. Each label shares one general caution about pills that you swallow, so the answer remains unchanged across the class.
The question is the same for Ozempic, Rybelsus, Mounjaro, Trulicity, Victoza.
