Rybelsus not working: the numbers first

Rybelsus studies mainly focused on blood sugar. The weight studies shown here are from Wegovy, the same medicine at a higher dose.

What makes it stall, and what helps

  1. See where you are in the dose steps. Every trial listed above shows less weight loss at the lower doses
  2. Over the past month, count how many doses you missed or took late
  3. Keep a record of a few days of food and drinks. As portions shrink, liquid calories and grazing build up
  4. Include protein at every meal and keep up strength exercise, so most of the weight you lose is fat.
  5. Look at your sleep and stress, because both affect appetite.
  6. Ask your pharmacist whether any other medicine you take might cause weight gain.
  7. If your progress has stalled for months, ask your prescriber about switching medicines. Also ask about checking your thyroid or blood sugar.
