How to check your plan

  1. Look for the drug on the Ohio Medicaid list.
  2. When your Medicaid is handled by a managed care plan, use the number on your member card to ask whether the drug needs prior authorization.
  3. Ask your prescriber which GLP-1 has preferred status. Drugs with preferred status are approved faster.
  4. Hold on to the approval or denial notice. It shows which rule applies in your case.
